At just 19, everything in the life of Edmond Dantès seems perfect. He's being made captain of a ship and marrying his childhood sweetheart. But not everyone is happy for him. Three jealous men plot and have him thrown in prison for a crime he didn't commit. During his suffering of 14 years, Dantès learns of vast fortune hidden on the isle of Monte Cristo. When he escape, he takes that wealth and uses it to exact revenge against the men who betrayed him.
