Upper Body Strength Series
This is the first week in our Upper Body Strength series, where we will focus on strengthening the arms and shoulders. We will start with a general warm-up and then move onto a circuit of Upper Body exercises using resistance. This class will include use of light weights; you can use household items such as water bottles or tins of food. However, you are also able to complete the class with bodyweight only.
We recommend that you complete at least another 2-4 additional classes each week, to get the most out of these exercise sessions.
Level 1 sessions are designed for people who cannot move their affected arm or leg at all. The exercises will ALL be done whilst you are seated in your wheelchair and there is no standing involved in any exercise. Please note that is a requirement that a carer or family member is available to assist you during the class.
