We took this trip by the car. Started from Czech republic down to Pula (Croatia), which was the last destination, and then drove back home.

We didn't really try to save money, but in total we spent 500$ (2p. - 250$ each) for gas, food, enterances, hotel, insurance, driving charges (toll stickers/highway tunnel fees ect.), and other stuff, which is great prize in my opinion. So you can have amazing trip for this little money.
