Break tests of Sampson Tech12 rope to see the effect and reduction of strength of knots and splices over the manufacturer min breaking load.
All knots and splices were tested for a total of 3 times each and had very similar to exact same numbers on all tests.
This is my own tests just having fun for my own education. I have no affiliate with Sampson ropes or any other manufacturers. The numbers are just relevant to 6mm Tech12 im sure other ropes will have different results with knots and splices.
Its all been done on my home made test bed, the load cell has been calibrated and certified recently and there is a clear blast shield to stop debris or shrapnel.
