The staff at Delhi University's Deen Dayal Upadhyaya (DDU) College has opted to cut back on the number of workdays to five due to a shortage of funding and a dispute with the Delhi government over grants. The adjustments were necessary since it was claimed that the government had withheld funding and subsidies for the college's electrical and maintenance. One of the 12 colleges at Delhi University that the Delhi government funds are DDU. The Delhi government hasn't even paid teachers' wages for the past two months, which has only made matters worse. "According to me, the college has an FD of 3 crores. And the college is not keeping all the funds with itself and releasing the salaries of a teacher we do not know the reason of it....", says Saurabh Bhardwaj, AAP MLA. Tune in for more such updates.
