Aby sa podtrhlo znárodnenie podniku Tatra, vyrobili jej pracovníci s nepredstieraným nadšením po dvoch kusoch z osemdesiatsedmičky. Tá prvá bola odovzdaná vtedajšiemu prezidentovi Benešovi, druhá tatrovečka sa ušla šéfvedúcemu Sovietskeho zväzu, báťuškovi Stalinovi.
