This is the twenty-fifth lesson in a series of lessons using Mel Bay's Modern Guitar Method, Grade 1 as our primary source of instruction. This lesson focuses on page 31 (page 60 expanded edition). Page 31 introduces the key of A minor. This lesson includes an explanation of relative major and minor keys and how to determine which keys are relative. It also includes instruction on the difference between "natural minor", "harmonic minor", and "melodic minor" scales. Lastly, it introduces three new chords including A minor, D minor, and E7. There aren't really any exercises on this page, just instruction on the key of A minor.
As usual, please comment if you have questions. Enjoy!
I will include timestamps below for the different concepts discussed in the lesson.
This series is intended to be a companion resource to your study in Mel Bay's method. It is NOT intended to replace the book. To be successful with this video series you will NEED to purchase a copy of Mel Bay's Modern Guitar Method Grade 1.
