A lasting tribute to Liverpool was unveiled on board the HMS Prince of Wales today, as part of the massive warship's visit to the city this week.
The ship arrived in Liverpool on Sunday, December 1, and will welcome visitors this weekend.
The huge warship expected to arrive on Monday, December 2, but due to adverse weather conditions, she made her arrival in the city a day early.
To honour the ship’s link to Liverpool, one of the main thoroughfares on board the ship was today named ‘Penny Lane’, with the unveiling of a sign by Lord Mayor Richard Kemp.
