Labour MP Mike Amesbury has been "administratively suspended" after CCTV footage appeared to show him punching a man, identified as Paul Fellows, in his Cheshire constituency early Saturday morning. In the footage, Amesbury is seen standing over Fellows, shouting, “You won’t threaten the MP ever again, will you?”
Amesbury stated he felt threatened before the altercation and has reported the incident to Cheshire Police. Witnesses said the two argued about local issues, including a planned bridge closure. Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer called the footage “shocking” and confirmed a police investigation is underway.
