If you quit your job and decide to freelance, 90% of all the work you’ll do will be crap…
Which brings me to the 70-20-10 Rule that applies to all Freelancers in the Creative industry…
Ask most people who decide to pursue a creative interest like writing, painting, art, content and media as a side or full hustle, and they’ll tell you how hard it is.
It’s easy for them to dismiss their work as “average” or “below average”, and fall off the momentum… thus fail to create a business out of it.
👉🏼 Remember that 70% of your work may be average, 20% may be above average, and only 10% will be noteworthy - which will have the potential to make you go viral, or add depth to your portfolio.
But you’ll have to go through the 70 and 20, to get to the 10. So if you can’t avoid it, the only way is to embrace it and live through it.
Which is why the key to success for anyone who is a creative freelancer is consistency…. And not to lose the momentum.
