Our last day on Porto Santo was another very blustery day with sunshine and short sharp showers. We wandered to the North West corner of the island to the Miradouro do Norte for views over the Ilheu de Ferro. The winds were whipping up monster waves which were crashing onto this wild and rugged coast. On our return to the hotel we took a last, lingering look at the wonderful beach before boarding the ferry to Funchal. As we approached the island of Madeira we were treated to a lovely sunset before sailing into harbour at Funchal where the lights of the capital were now glittering around the magnificent bay.
