Tyre innovation seem is one of the key themes of road cycling products in 2020. There are a range of new arrivals in the market – both brands (Pirelli, in this instance) and technology (eg. tubeless and various compounds, etc).
After a sequence of other brands – ie. Goodyear, then Continental – it was time to go back to Pirelli, only this time 28mm P-Zero Race TLR instead of the 26 Cinturato that I’d used in the past.
There’s much more to say about the brilliant, 292g P-Zero tyres and this is part one of a two-part review. It introduces them, shows what the all-black tyres look like on an all-black bike, and allows a few early thoughts to emerge after the fitting and the first ride.
Stay tuned for more #RideAndReview stories, including another one on these tyres that explains how I feel about them after over 1,000km of riding on them.
