Installing a nifty little configurable 9.5MB Fast and Slow Ram expansion board for the Amiga 600. It is plug and play, and piggy backs off the top of the A600's Motorolla 68000 CPU using an inverted PLCC socket.
For those of you who are unfamilar with a PLCC socket, it stands for plastic leaded chip carrier, which are a type of chip carrier used to form connections between integrated circuits and printed circuit boards. PLCC sockets typically have a rectangular plastic housing with connections along all four edges of the rectangle.
This RAM expansion board can be used in conjunction with trapdoor chip RAM expansion to bring A600 up to a total of 11.5MB. 1MB onboard chip memory, 1MB expansion chip memory, 8MB Fast RAM, and 1.5MB Slow RAM which is provided by this new RAM expansion board.
A breif test all is working on The Settlers, one of my all time favorite games.
