The ZWO ASI2600MC Air is a blend of the ZWO ASI2600MC Duo and ASI Air Plus! This 3 in 1 camera is a great option when traveling or on the go, greatly simplifying your setup by combining image acquisition, guiding, mount control, and the main camera all in one unit. Specification wise, the ASI2600MC Air is no different than the ASI2600MC Duo. It utilizes the fantastic Sony IMX571 APS-C size sensor. The sensor is 26MP, has 3.76-micron pixel sizes, and a 16-bit ADC. One huge benefit to this camera is the storage capacity of 256GB. This allows you to take several shorter exposures without filling up the storage space due to the large file size. A concern I had was an increase in dark noise from the heat of the ASI Air. An evaluation of the dark frames of the ASI2600MC DUO and ASI2600MC Air shows the dark frames to be about the same, so ZWO did a nice job isolating the camera from the ASI Air controller. Overall, this camera works just as one would expect it to.
