I have never installed garage door opener nor garage door .. garage door spring system but still managed to do it myself .... :)
.... the door itself is more than 200 pounds or 90 kg heavy .. and when it does not work it is really hard to open it by hands ... :( .. so you need counter weight or spring force to level it ..... but if you want to fix it .. everything is possible .... :)
