The Thread Diawl Bach is a variant of the standard Diawl Bach that offers a slim, readily and easily modified pattern that can be used for all occasions.

Primarily developed to target grown on fish, the slim profile and lightweight dressing is particularly attractive to those fish that have survived the whole season long and which express disdain when presented with standard patterns.

Easily modified by changing hackle colour, tying silk colour, thorax colour of wing bud colour, this pattern should be a must have in your flybox.

The dressing for the one tied in the video is as follows:

Hook: Size 10 or 12
Tying silk: Black 70D
Body: Tying silk as above
Thorax: medium holographic red tinsel
Wing buds: Caramel goose biots.

Give it a go, amend the dressing and make your own to suit your fishery. The choices are endless.
