After getting inside Galbadia Garden you may notice something big and agile stood in the center of the Main Hall. Cerberus is a GF that no one knew about and confronts the Party.

Squall is Lv100, Rinoa is Lv84 and Irvine is Lv66

Boss: Cerberus

HP: 7,100 - 10,000
Absorbs: Thunder
Immune to: Wind
Weak Against: N/A

Out of all the Monsters in FF8 Cerberus's Sound Effect has gotta be my top favourite in the Game. I just love that roar of his.

Cerberus Absorbs Wind and Thunder but has no Weaknesses so make sure you dont have Thundaga or Tornado Junctioned to your Elemental Attack. Cerberus may cast Triple on himself so he casts 3 of the same Spell in a single turn! Whenever Cerberus has Triple cast on himself he'll let off a fierce roar and change his stance so his heads are low down and his tail is up in the air. Casting Dispel will remove Triple in which Cerberus will relax and change his stance to normal.

Cerberus can make this Battle quite challenging especially if he has Triple on and casts Silence, Blind and Tornado.
This is one of the only Battles in the Game where you can Draw Triple.
Be sure to Mug the Spd J Scroll from Cerberus. Heal him if need be until you have it. Cerberus only has a max of 10,000HP and his Vitality isnt all that high thus he can actually go down pretty quickly.

Once the Battle is over Cerberus will join the Party as a GF.
