In this video I share my experience of travelling to a nearby island via ferry and things to do there. Yes, I am talking about Batam Island, Indonesia. It's very close to Singapore and a favourite holiday destination for many people living here. It's a perfect escape for a nice family weekend, with a pocket friendly travel itinerary. 💰

🔆Listing down 10 things to-do when you visit this beautiful island:

1) Have a Delicious Breakfast at Morning Bakery and begin your day right!

2) Visit the Maha Vihara Duta Maitreya aka "Laughing Buddha Temple"

3) Click some pics at Welcome to Batam Monument and also visit the night market if possible.

4) Check out the Miniature House. Perfect if you have small kids.

5) Taste and definately buy a layered cake from Batam Layer Cakes. You have so many options to choose from. My favourite is Prunes Layer cake.

6) Have fun go-karting at Marina Sirkuit.

7) Visit the beautiful Tua Pek Kong Temple aka Chinese Temple.

8) Watch the Sunset and click some amazing pictures at the Barelang Bridge.

9) Visit the Sri Lalitha Temple aka Hindu Temple.
P.S.-Clicking photos or filming inside the temple is not allowed.

10) Splurge at Nagoya Hill Shopping Mall. Shopping is a must, cause everything is so cheap and trendy at the same time. It's hard to resist from entering stores and walking out empty hand.
P.S.- skill of bargaining will be an added advantage.
