As purchased, these crimpers suck. They crimp just fine, but they are nearly impossible to extract afterwards. Usually by the time I get them pulled out, I've had to yank so much that the crimp comes undone - worse than useless. However, all they need to work brilliantly is a little spacer - I ended up using a 1/4" open ended wrench (attached with paracord). After you do the crimp, slide in your spacer, then pull the handles apart and it works great everytime. I ended up using some paracord to attach my wrench to the crimper.
