Somerset, second son of Edward Tyson, sheriff, alderman, and mayor of Bristol in 1660, as well as Colonel of the “Train’d bands” in said city, son of Edward Tyson of Bristol and of Clevedon, co. Somerset, son of Nicholas Tyson of Birket, co. Cumberland - Vert three lions rampant argent crowned, collared, and chained or. Crest—A sinister arm in mail armour or, the hand proper defended by an antique shield gold, lined vert, straps gules.
