Scania's next-generation systems for automated driving use a broad range of technologies, such as radar, ultrasound and cameras, to help drivers avoid accidents. Consequently, these systems increase fuel-efficiency and decrease the environmental impact of driving.
The systems include functions for keeping the truck in its lane, hindering the truck from changing lanes when a vehicle is next to or immediately behind it, and automatically taking the truck through traffic jams at speeds up to 50 km/h.
