We had created a large spacious area for Fanny to give birth in with a warm blanket and peace and quiet.
Cats rarely decide to give birth where you've decided is best - before Fanny went in to labour she tried to get in to the tumble drier and lots of cupboards. We also found her up in the loft with the Christmas decorations! We encouraged her to stay in the kitchen so we could keep an eye on her.
Although she spent lots of her labour in this box she was actually in the middle of the floor when the kittens came out.
This bloody looking sack was at the opening for a good while. Fortunately I'd seen other videos and knew this was normal! While we didn't interfere she was happy for us to be near.
