September / October in the UK is the best time to take semi-ripe cuttings. These are soft wood cuttings of this years growth which has started to harden.

Ideal for plants such as the Plumbago, which Christine shows us in this video, or Fuchsia, Kerria, Weigela, Camellia, Ceanothus, Hebe, Viburnum, Escallonia and Holly.
