The Parliamentary Standing Committee on Personnel, Public Grievances, Law and Justice has said that the Registration of Births and Deaths (Amendment) Bill, 2012, will go a long way in protecting women in matters relating to maintenance and property rights. The committee has recommended passage of the bill after making some changes.
