The humanitarian crisis continues in Turkey months after devastating earthquakes ruined homes and communities for hundreds of miles.
Esen lives in hard-hit Hatay with her 3 daughters. Her home was destroyed by the earthquake, and she has since struggled to provide for her family’s needs.
Esen told us, "All of us are in a difficult situation. We can’t stay in our house; we’re living in tents. Thank God we’re safe. That’s one comfort in a time like this. But I’m so scared because there’s still a lot that my family needs."
That’s where friends like you stepped in. Thanks to the support of our amazing Operation Blessing partners, Esen’s family received hunger relief boxes.
Esen said, "I’m grateful. For me, it means that my children’s hunger is satisfied."
In addition to meeting earthquake victims’ daily needs with food boxes, Operation Blessing also set up a base to serve hot meals to families and offer comfort during this difficult time.
Esen celebrated, "Thank you so much. We feel welcomed there. It means a lot to me to be able to go and see them sharing food with my children. It makes me forget my troubles."
