This is the second part of a threefold series about the structural racism and police brutality in Belgium. Unfortunately this topic is more relevant than ever after the murder of a 29 year old Algerian man by a police man in Antwerp on Sunday 19 July. 📣 WE DEMAND #JusticeForAkram.
In this part we discuss the realities of police brutality in Belgium. When and how do we adopt US discourses and strategies against structural racism in the police force? How is police violence condemned legally, collectively, by families of victims and activists?
