NSW Police Minister David Elliott says Karen Webb, who will be replacing Mick Fuller as NSW Police Commissioner, has a “great reputation”.
“Karen’s got a great reputation as a law enforcement official in this city and this state; she’s from country NSW; she’s served for 34 years in the NSW Police Force,” Mr Elliott told Sky News host Chris Kenny.
“She’s worked as a local area commander; she’s worked in child protection, she’s worked in forensics.
“She’s been involved in the protection of the city during major events such as the Invictus Games and Australia Day.
“25 years ago, you never would have thought about a police commissioner having these sort of qualifications – she does.”
