Round 2 of the BGDC during the New Race Festival at Circuit Zolder.
My first ever race and I am driving a Renault Megane 2.0L with 160hp. Basic car but great to start with.
I drove during the qualify a time of 2.03.239 while the best time of our team was a 2.02.692 driven by Julien. Because of the huge amount of cars, there was lots of traffic and I only had 2 clean laps out of 5.
During the race I took the 2nd stint for my account but I did not have too much confidence in the tires. The best was gone so I decided to run my race and enjoy the moment. The brakes were fading too at the end and I was not able to run the times I hoped for. I ran laps of 2.03 - 2.06 depending on the traffic. My fastest time was a 2.03.049. After my stint, Dylan took over on new front tires and new front brakes. He realised the fastest time of 2.01.683.
I enjoyed this moment a lot and I hope there is more to come.
