As far as specifications are concerned, it is said to sport a 5.0-inch screen, Android 5.0 Lollipop OS, an Intel-based SoC , 2GB RAM, 32GB inbuilt memory, 8mp camera on the rear side and a 5mp snapper on the front.
Microsoft’s contract with Nokia prohibits them from manufacturing smartphones until 2016, but apparently their manufacturing deal with Foxxcon (who produces the Nokia N1) gives them a legal loophole to provide a smartphone with their name on it well before that.
It’s expected to run Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box with Nokia’s Z Launcher pre-installed on top.
As of now, Nokia is yet to respond to the rumours on the Internet. Until the company comes out and clears the air over the rumours, this report will remain as pure speculations.
The design pictured above reminds us a lot of the iPhone 6 with its curved edges and unibody design. That doesn’t come as much of a surprise considering the close similarities between the Nokia N1 tablet and Apple’s iPad mini. Still, we’re hoping Nokia will try something different if it really plans to release an Android smartphone.
