My name is Mariona Berenguer
I come from Barcelona. I studied the degree of Fine Arts in Barcelona University and I also did a Grade on Technical Sculpture project.
I mainly work with sculpture but I have a background in drawing, also, and I like to make installations.
I mainly work with objects that already exist and I then I combine them and I use their meaning or their symbolism to create new meanings I approach different topics but I normally start with conflict as the main topic and then I develop it and then I go maybe into desire, or loss or love.
Since I am in GlogauAIR what I did is look to develop the ongoing investigation about the topic of desire. And so, I have, actually what I am working it is in a painting installation, in a light installation and a video
And all the artworks come from different activities that I started in this, during this lockdown and this winter in Berlin. And for example, for the video the action that I started to make was like to go in the weekends to the countryside and then I started filming animals with a drone.
And then I realized how impacting were the images because they were full of this violence but also full of desire and curiosity so I am using these concepts again.

Intensity… and I think situations that I don’t understand so good
I am planning to have an exhibition, well a group exhibition, in the Schwules Museum in Berlin in one year. And meanwhile I hope to have another residency and to continue working on this line.
