Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said that the ground version of the sea-based Caliber missile complex with a long-range cruise missile should be developed by 2020. At the same time, Russia will need to build a ground-based complex with a long-range hypersonic missile.



According to the minister, Russia is taking these measures in connection with the recent decision of the United States to pull out from the Treaty on Intermediate-Range and Short-Range Missiles, commonly known as INF Treaty.
