I take a walkthrough of the 2022 Los Angeles Times Festival Of Books at USC after 2 years of hiatus from COVID-19. There were thousands of people who attended this event.
The 27th Los Angeles Times Festival of Books is back in person at the University of Southern California, April 23 and 24, with more than 550 authors, poets, artists, chefs, journalists, celebrities and musicians. Here are some of the participants who stopped by the Los Angeles Times’ photo studio to be entertained, cajoled and photographed by Jay L. Clendenin.
The nation’s largest literary and cultural festival returned to the USC University Park Campus on Saturday with a feast of fun for bookworms, authors and just about everyone else.
The Los Angeles Times Festival of Books kicked off with a serenade from the USC Trojan Marching Band and welcoming words from leaders of the event’s co-sponsors.
“We often think of reading as a solitary activity,” USC President Carol L. Folt said, “but what I love about this is: This is a community of readers, of storytellers, of visionaries who are helping us learn and change. And that is perfect for all of us to celebrate together.”
Los Angeles Times Festival of Books featuring indoor and outdoor events, hundreds of exhibitor booths, author signings, performances, and free activities.
The USC Stage (at the center of campus) offers arts and entertainment; and an indoor venue in Wallis Annenberg Hall (ANN) features panels and conversations.
I have some affiliated links of the featured authors from this event to help support this channel.
