The November 8th midterm elections are fast approaching, and at stake is control of Congress, including the US House of Representatives. Republican Congressman Bob Latta, a Catholic, is running for re-election in Ohio's 5th Congressional district. Representative Latta says, "We have to control inflation, cut government spending, actually do a budget, actually do our appropriations bills, stop this craziness with all of these continuing resolutions, in omnibus at the end. If we did our work, we wouldn't have these problems." The congressman adds that out-of-control spending by Democrats and a lack of allowing oil drilling permits throughout the nation, have caused a big jump in energy prices, which affects manufacturing jobs in his district. Congressman Latta is the lead Republican in the Communications and Technology Subcommittee. He says that getting broadband to rural areas is key to their economic success. He also says the key to winning re-election is listening to voters, and that is a 24 hour commitment. Capitol Hill Correspondent, Erik Rosales reports.
