Come join me LIVE and work me on 40 meters FT8. In this video I will give an overview of setting up FT8 and show you some of my tips and tricks. I will also be working FT8 during the live video, so hop on your radio with me.
FT8 is very popular right now, with a lot of stations using it. It's not the most exciting way to use your Ham Radio, but it's very interesting to see how far your signal gets out. It will also allow you to achieve awards like WAS (work all states) and DXCC while doing other things in the shack!
What You Need
A radio with a sound card such as a FT-991A or IC-7300. A USB port can be a good indication.
Alternate option is to use a Tigertronics SignalLInk $140 [ Ссылка ]
A computer: Windows, Linux or Mac. Is more fun with 2 monitors. In my experience this is easier on a Windows machine
I think this could be a good application for Raspberry Pi
Sound drivers for your radio. If on Windows just go to manufacture website. For other operating systems dive into the WSJT-X documents.
