Hettick is a village in Macoupin County, Illinois, United States. The population was 149 at the 2020 census, down from 181 in 2010.
Hettick is located in northwestern Macoupin County, 13 miles northwest of Carlinville, the county seat. Illinois Route 111 passes through the village as Main Street, leading north 6 miles to Palmyra and south 7 miles to Chesterfield.
The village sits on a ridge that drains northwest to Solomon Creek and southeast to Nassa Creek, both part of the Macoupin Creek watershed leading west to the Illinois River.
As of the census of 2000, there were 182 people, 83 households, and 55 families residing in the village. The racial makeup of the village was 100.00% White.
The median income for a household in the village was $30,417, and the median income for a family was $35,313. Males had a median income of $31,667 versus $23,750 for females. The per capita income for the village was $14,117.
