MONROE, Ohio (WKRC) -- Trial is underway Thursday for a Warren County man accused of trying to run over a police officer. Jurors in the trial of Jamarcus Brown heard opening statements. Brown faces charges of felonious assault, assault, and failure to comply. Police say he shoplifted from a store at the Cincinnati Premium Outlets in Monroe back in August. Brown then allegedly tried to run over officer, Chad Caudill, while trying to get away. Officer Caudill shot brown in the leg.
