Niobium is non toxic. It has been compared to steel and having a strength increase of 80 % to steel mixtures. It is by itself similar in weight to Aluminum but can withstand atmospheric entry. It is used in the manufacture of jet engine turbines. This metal is gray or silvery in color but may turn different colors when oxidized.
