Are you confused about macros for weight loss? Do this and you'll be losing weight in no time.
We're not throwing numbers at a wall, there's actually an intelligent way of determining this.
First, we need to figure out how much protein you need to eat - if you're a woman start at 100. If you're a man start at 110. And then fit every inch over 5ft you are, add an additional 5 grams of protein.
So if you're a 5’4” female, you'll need 100 plus 20, so 120 grams/day
If you're a 5’9” male, you'll need 110 plus 45, which is 155 grams/day.
Now on to carbs. This is easy - less than 5-10% of all calories should come from here. Get rid of all refined carbs and sugar. Fruit is okay
Fat - Keep grams of fat + grams of carbs, less than your total grams of protein consumed.
Now if you divide your protein consumed by your carbs plus fat, and you get a number that's approaching 1.25 that perfect!
So when it comes to your macro percentages they should look like 35% Protein, 5-10% Carbs, 50-55% Fat
