Riding Home for Christmas - 71 hours on a ferry & 1200 km’s on the road, all on a 20yr old Yamaha!
Day 1 - leaving Gran Canaria on a 35 hour ferry journey to Cadiz on the Spanish Mainland!
Having had my trusty old 2005 Yamaha FZR600 in storage for over 8 months in Gran Canaria, a change of circumstances meant I wasn’t going to be spending another winter in The Canaries, so instead of continuing to pay for even more storage - I decided to ride all the way back home to Dublin!
Leaving Gran Canaria at 9:30am on Thursday the 19th December on a 35 hour ferry to Cadiz in southern Spain, followed by a 1000km ride directly North to Bilbao, before embarking on another 29 hour ferry to Rosslare, hoping to arrive there around 3pm Monday the 23rd, before the final 2 hour ride home to Dublin!
Will I make it? Who knows, but should at least be an adventure trying!!
