The Sony a6000 in 2020?! Is it still worth it? Can you still create cinematic b-roll and take awesome photos with Sony’s a6000?
I decided to go out and spend a week experimenting with the Sony a6000 paired with Sigma’s 30mm 1.4 lens. I wanted to capture some cinematic b-roll and some cool hyper lapses of Houston, Texas. You can definitely still create some good content with the Sony a6000, but stay tuned for my full review!
Something I have heard over and over is that gear and cameras don’t make you a good creator. I believe that is true! Don’t get me wrong, I think a good camera will help, but creating is much more about telling stories, capturing moments, expressions and emotions.
Sony’s a6000 paired with Sigma’s 30mm 1.4 lens is a good set up to create. Yes, there are without a doubt better and newer cameras out in the market nowadays, but we should always be able to create with what we have.
Most of the video was filmed using Zhiyun’s Crane Plus 3-Axis Gimbal. All the hyper lapses were shot with the a6000 picture by picture and edited inside Final Cut Pro X.
Thanks so much for watching!
