Nutty Date Balls
Dates are high in fiber and nutrients and a healthy substitute for white sugar.
This is a brilliant alternative when the sugar craving hits. It is a 5 min preparation time. Since it is loaded with fiber it will also provide a satisfying feeling of being full. This recipe will yield about 10 balls. Keep in the fridge in an airtight container.
Ingredients
200g (7-8 oz.) of date spread
200g (7-8 oz.) of nuts (pecan /walnut)
3/4 cup of oats
3 tsp of cocoa powder
1/2 cup of shredded coconut
Chop nuts to small pieces. Mix with date spread and oats.
Mold to shape of a small size balls. Cover each ball with cocoa powder and coconut.
Chill for at least 30 min before serving.
