To all skiing fans out there,
Flachau - located in Salzburg - is probably one of the most famous skiing resorts in Austria and it also belongs to the biggest skiing area in Austria - Ski Amade. First it is not far away from the regional capital Salzburg with its airport, second it is the home of the skiing legend Hermann Maier (The Herminator) and third Flachau hosts one of the most popular woman ski races - the Flachau Slalom Night race.
Besides its popularity it is also very fun to ski there. On the Flachau side you have the perfect carving slopes - not to steep or to flat... on the Wagrain side you find steeper slopes as well.
And you can connect to either St. Johann (via G-Link - near middle station of Flying Mozart) or to Kleinarl/Flachau-Winkel via Panorama Link. And from there even further to Zauchensee.
That day I was skiing with Stefan - we really had a very nice day although the weather could have been better. In the end we had 13000 meter of decent.
Hope you like it
