On this video you can see a typical a step splicing of a multiply conveyor rubber belt in Russia with the patented vulcanizing material Multiface 5 and a vulcanizing press. Due to the benefits of the unique vulcanizing material Multiface, a low surface pressure of only 2 bar/28 psi and a low curing temperature of only 80°C (173°F) was used to perform full vulcanization. After only 10 minutes active heating and 20 minutes passive cooling the conveyor belt is ready to re-start. This solution allows an unmatched short downtime, but with all advantages of a durable hot splicing. The last sequence of this video shows a pull test as a Russian customer have done to check the strenght of the splice.
