Anna and I had a recipe book in her cabinet that we tried a custard pie from. They turned out awful as far as texture. The taste was good. I should have been suspicious when I saw that there was no milk in the recipe. Who ever heard of a custard pie with no milk. I marked in that recipe book not to ever cook this one again.
