🔥Taking the slack out of the bar 🔥
This is a great cue when deadlifting but are you using it correctly🤔 there are a few different ways to take the slack out, I’m showing 2 very common technique flaws people do when trying to use this cue. There is still so much more to this but the 1min video cap makes it hard to fit everything in😬 The main point is to create as much full body tension as possible before the bar even leaves the ground, this will give you a strong and stable start position utilizing as much muscle mass as possible to maintain good positioning.

Making sure you are maintaining full bracing (check my last video) screwing the arms into your back pockets and create a “neutral” spine, next use the weight on the bar as a way to pull yourself down into position. You can see using only 1 plate the bar comes off the ground just from generating tension, at a heavier weight this point where the bar lifts would be the same time I would push the ground with my legs and stand up tall with the bar. Give it a try and let me know if you have any questions🙌🏼
