Immensely colorful 2.85 CTS faceted natural black opal gemstone originating from Ethiopia. This measures approximately 13.8 x 9.2 x 5.2 mm and is cut into an oval shape.

This gem has an amazing play of color with an intense "fire" that is breathtaking to behold. Bright flashes of almost every color of the rainbow can be seen to travel within the surface of the stone.

This is a naturally earth mined gemstone and has been smoke treated to enhance color. Don't be fooled by lesser imitations. This is not a doublet or filled product, this is solid earth mined stone.

The stone is in great overall condition but there is one small scratch on the edge of the stone that can be seen on some angles as shown in the magnified photos.
