Welcome to Scorpius Tactical! In this video, we address a critical concern we've encountered with the new SIG Sauer Spear LT 16-inch models. As avid fans of SIG Sauer firearms, including their 320 line, 365, and MGX line (such as the Vertice and Spear Lt), we were disheartened to discover significant barrel deflection issues.
During our testing, we observed that when pressure is applied to the barrel from either the left or right side, it flexes and remains in that position, resulting in a failure to maintain zero. This poses a serious problem for rifle enthusiasts, and we felt compelled to share our findings.
We want to emphasize that we followed SIG Sauer's guidelines meticulously. We even took the extra step of removing the handguard, untorquing the barrel, and then retorquing the two lugs to 60 inch-pounds, as recommended in SIG Sauer's manual. Despite these efforts, the issues persisted.
To provide a clearer understanding of the problem, we will cut to a close-up demonstration to showcase the barrel deflection in action. We hope this visual representation will shed light on the gravity of the situation and encourage SIG Sauer to address this issue promptly.
We believe in SIG Sauer's commitment to quality and innovation, and we sincerely hope they take notice of this video and resolve the barrel deflection problem. Our aim is to help not only ourselves but also other firearms enthusiasts who may encounter similar issues.
