Battleship DKM Gneisenau (1940) by FlyHawk (Deluxe Version), 1/700 Scale, Ship Model, Full Build
This kit by FlyHawk is fantastic. FlyHawk has expertly molded extremely small plastic pieces with incredible detail. Photo etch metal additions, like railings, are included in the deluxe version. Also included in the deluxe version are many photo etch parts that replace molded plastic parts. With the deluxe version, you will not need to add any aftermarket pieces, except for possibly an anchor chain and rigging.
Overall: the kit is fantastic and is not overly pricey, considering the contents. The detail is incredible. However, this kit is not recommended for beginners, who may be frustrated by the small photo etch and plastic pieces if they are new to the hobby.
