Israeli researchers uncovered a Roman-era golden ring featuring an early Christian symbol for Jesus in its gemstone—the figure of the Good Shepherd, represented by a boy in a tunic with a sheep across his shoulders. That was one of many incredible ancient finds in the Holy Land this year.
