Hint: If things are going a bit fast, YouTube lets you change the playback speed. Check the settings icon in the lower right side of the video screen and set the playback speed to for example 0.5.

Abbreviations
k = knit
M1R = Make 1 Right – work an increase by inserting the left needle under the strand between the stitches from back to front, and knit it
M1L = Make 1 Left – work an increase by inserting the left needle under the strand between the stitches from front to back, and knit it through the back loop
p = purl
RS = right side
WS = wrong side
st(s) = stitch(es)
tbl = through the back loop (twisted stitch)
